FESPA Mexico 2019 impresses visitors

For three days, the leading digital and textile printing exhibition in Mexico was held at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City. The exhibition showcased the latest innovations and technologies of the printing industry in Latin America.

Between 22nd – 24th August 2019, FESPA Mexico received more than 11,000 unique visitors. The show covered 17,000 m2 where exhibitors presented the latest product innovation for large format digital printing, screen printing, textile printing, sublimation, signage, garment decoration, finishing equipment and 3D printing.

Michael Ryan, Group Exhibitions Manager said that "every year the show continues to grow, and this year has been tremendous, especially given the complicated economic situation that the region is experiencing. The comments from the exhibitors have been very positive with sales being made directly at the exhibition."

This year there were a greater number of exhibitors from all over the region.  Exhibitors used this exhibition as a platform to showcase their machinery, supplies and services. Exhibitors met and networked with customers from different sectors of the industry.

Visitors came travelled from all corners of Mexico, but also from the United States, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Spain and Taiwan.

For Victor Peña, CEO and founder of Omniprint International and Platinum Sponsor of FESPA Mexico 2019 stated that the most important thing to exhibit at FESPA Mexico is "to have a greater brand presence and interact with your customers. It is an event within a couple of days, you can visit your customers and be present in the market."

Digital printing is one of the many interest areas for visitors, 40% who came with the mission of buying machinery with new technology, while 30% sought to discover new products.

"FESPA is a window for the Mexican market, where they can discover a portfolio of solutions," says Carlos Mario Giraldo, Director of New Business at EPSON Mexico. "There is everything to support them in developing their business including cost analysis, productivity and print quality."

"What makes FESPA different than other events are the number of people and brands it attracts. It is the company within the signage, textiles and graphic arts industry that attract the most end users. As I explained previously it is very important that we approach all these printers," said Javier Arizaleta, HP Product Manager.

As usual, a series of events, conferences and workshops were featured during FESPA Mexico 2019. In total, 21 conferences were held by experts from the graphics industry.

"As the global federation of specialized print, education and training is at the heart of everything we do and it's great to see the interaction of everyone involved," said Michael Ryan of FESPA.

Print Make Wear allowed visitors to see the process of making a garment, from design to labelling and packaging. The feature had 16 sponsored workshops and 890 visitors.

The World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 vehicle wrapping competition crowned Miguel Huitzil of VinilArt and Minilab as its winner. Miguel will go on to compete at the World Wrap Masters Finals 2020 at the Global Print Expo 2020. Miguel comments: "I can’t believe it because I've
competed five times and to have won this year reaffirms that it’s been worth the effort.”

FESPA is pleased to announce that FESPA Mexico will return to the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City from 24th - 26th September 2020. Information on registration, exhibitors and mini events will soon be made available.

"Planning for FESPA Mexico 2020 has already begun and next year we experience our biggest event in Mexico with a series of new additions that show the latest in printing technologies," said Michael Ryan of FESPA.
