IPI 2021 to present the manufacturing world with impressive line-up of print technology experts

On 23rd – 24th November 2021, the international community of suppliers, integrators, OEMs, researchers, innovators, and decision makers will reconnect at the Dorint Kongresshotel Düsseldorf-Neuss in Neuss to discuss the latest developments in industrial print technology for manufacturing.

Representatives of all industry sectors are welcome to join the Industrial Print Integration (IPI) conference and learn what screen, inkjet and other techniques can mean for the production processes of today and future. The event is organised by the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association (ESMA), supported by Drupa and “Specialist Printing Worldwide”.

“Perovskite solar cells upscaling towards industrialisation” and “Printed electronics – enabling the next generation of digital solutions” are among the keynote talks which open each conference day.  Other presentation titles include “Rejuvenation of packaging and decoration”, “Inkjet 3D printing”, “Transition from prototyping to production”, “Carbon footprint of inkjet”, “Functional hardcoats using nanotechnology”, “Additive processes in electronics production”, “Inkjet integration in smart factory” or “Influence of screen mesh in industrial applications”. Altogether 42 presentations are scheduled on two conference tracks to provide expert insights on technology, sustainability and new business models.

An additional track with 8 presentations is dedicated to the Paperonics project. Between 2019 and 2021, 40 European research centres and companies investigated the future of efficient, affordable and sustainable printing of electronic components directly on paper and plastics. During IPI, they will present the project’s results and demonstrate the first samples including RFID tags for e-logistics, sensors for tamper-proof packaging and temperature threshold indicators.

“Industrial Print Integration features a combination of industrial and functional printing which enables more sustainable and more flexible production processes”, says Peter Buttiens, CEO of ESMA, “New sustainable developments rely e.g. on perovskite photovoltaics or new solid state batteries. OLED technology begins to dominate the world of displays, while the global pandemic extended the need for monitoring sensors and fast diagnostic kits. IPI discusses the technology behind all these developments and shows print beyond its conventional purpose.”

The first edition of IPI met with an enthusiastic response of both industry and academic centres who look forward to the opportunity of meeting physically again. So far, almost 50 companies booked their slot at the conference, including 3M, Adphos, Agfa, Arcolor, BASF, Cadis, ChemStream, CST, Encres Dubuit, Dr. Hönle, Dracula Technologies, Epta, Fraunhofer IPA, Fujifilm Ink Solutions, Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions, Global Graphics, Global Inkjet Systems, Grünig, Henkel, Heraeus, i4inkjet, ImageXpert, Imec, Industrial Inkjet Consulting, Industrial Print Solutions, Inkatronic, Integration Technology, KNF, Kronos, Lambda, Marabu, Meteor Inkjet, Momentive, Notion Systems, Nur Ink, Pall, Plasmatreat, Pröll, Quantica, Saati, Sefar, Seiko, Siegwerk, SignTronic, SPS Technoscreen, Stuttgart Media University, Sun Chemical, Thieme and TNO Holst.

One of the supporters, the company CST GmbH from the nearby Krefeld invites all conference participants for a factory tour on the 22nd of November 2021.
