Speakers described real-world adoption: NDigitech’s long-term cloud and AI journey, examples of generative-AI-enabled product editors (Design and Buy) that create imagery and then auto pre-flight it, and the need to integrate storefronts (Shopify/Etsy) for discoverability via AI search platforms. The panel argued that AI should be combined with human intelligence (AI + HI), that companies must prioritize centralized data/asset management and automated workflows before investing in larger presses, and that robotics and automation can (in parallel with AI) reduce errors, increase throughput and allow scaling—provided teams are trained and hiring criteria include AI capability. The session closed with practical recommendations around hiring, workflow mapping, service-focused offerings and the commercial imperative to adopt AI to remain competitive.
