Rob Ferris, the new chief executive of Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK, has set out his aims to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for the digital print giant.

Ferris will take on his new role in May 2020, joining the company after a 19-year spell with Canon UK. He was most recently country director, sales and professional services and was responsible for Canon’s office and professional print business groups, serving as part of its executive leadership team.

At Konica Minolta, Ferris will play a role in the firm’s ongoing transformation to a digital IT services company. Prior to joining Canon, Ferris was sales leader for an IT systems integrator and services provider.

Speaking to FESPA.com about his new role with Konica Minolta, Ferris said he is “energised and excited” by the move, adding that he looks forward to being a “key part of the company’s future success”.

“It’s a fantastic time to join Konica Minolta with its clear vision and commitment to transformation to a digital IT services business,” Ferris said. “Konica Minolta has the technical excellence, internal skills and expertise and logistical resources to be the market-leader in digital IT services.

“Delivering profitable and sustainable growth is the core priority. My role is to ensure that the UK organisation is enabled and empowered to unlock the full strength of the extensive portfolio of products and services to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.”

Lars Wørzner, managing director, region north at Konica Minolta, also spoke to FESPA.com about the appointment, saying that Ferris joining the company will be a major part of its transformation strategy and will help to deliver its growth targets.

Wørzner said: “We know a business is only as good as its people, so we have an employee centric people strategy and have been accredited as a top employer in UK for the last two years. We offer an agile and flexible work environment, responding to the changing needs of our increasingly diverse employee base.

“As a global company we can offer employees global mobility and a clear career path. Konica Minolta is very much a place where you can shape and change the way the organisation does things.”

Wørzner added in a statement: “Rob has a proven track record of maximising business performance and delivering against profitability and growth targets, along with a burning passion for developing winning teams and enabling talented professionals to reach their full potential.”
