Vastex sets for Little Red showcase at FESPA 2017

Vastex International will be demonstrating at FESPA 2017 next week the latest developments in its Little Red range of dryer machines for screen printed textiles.

The new Little Red X1-54 model is equipped with a 168cm-long conveyor and a 122 x 30.5cm, 240V/5200 watt infrared heater. The device has the ability to cure up to 260 plastisol-printed images, or dry 90 discharge or water-based printed images, per hour.

Meanwhile, the Little Red X2-54 model has a 213cm-long conveyor and two 122 x 30.5 cm, 240V/5200 watt infrared heaters, and can cure up to 520 plastisol-printed images or dry 180 discharge or water-based printed images per hour.

Vastex International president Mark Vasilantone commented: “The all-new Little Red dryers provide expandability, uniform results and return on investment never before available to mid-capacity textile printers.”

Both of the machines cure or dry images up to 112cm wide and are equipped with temperature and belt speed digital controls, a low-friction belt tracking system and an Infrared Focusing System, which Vastex International said will enable infinite belt-to-heater height adjustment between 5-18 cm, plus angle control for optimum results with bulky garments and caps.

Other features across the machines include a 15-year warranty, as well as closely spaced coils that the manufacturer said provides “high-density, medium-wavelength” infrared heat for maximum cure speed without cold spots or under-curing associated with conventional units.

In addition, both Little Red dryers can be expanded with extra heating chambers, extending the belt length and increasing the infinitely variable speed setting of the digital belt control.

Vastex International is also able to offer two expandable Little Red models with 76cm-wide conveyor belts.

The Little Red X1-30 model has a single heater for curing up to 130 plastisol-printed images or 45 discharge or water-based printed images per hour, while the Little Red X2-30 model has dual heaters for curing up to 260 plastisol-printed images and up to 90 discharge or water-based printed images per hour.

The company also manufactures larger, industrial-grade dryers and smaller tabletop dryers, as well as heavy-, medium- and light-duty presses, athletic numbering systems, flash cure units, screen coaters, screen exposing units, screen drying cabinets, pin registration systems, washout booths and complete equipment packages for entry-level to large commercial shops.
