SPAI FESPA Awards 2023 welcomes over 400 industry leaders
FESPA Association, SPAI (Screen Printers’ Association India) ran an awards programme on 7th October 2023 in Mumbai at SCREENTEX India 2023 that featured over 400 industry leaders.
The SPAI FESPA Awards 2023 is the only independent national awards in the screen print industry in India. The awards recognises creativity and innovation in screen/digital and mixed printing techniques and the people behind it. There were 15 different categories and for each category a gold, silver and bronze award was awarded. Categories included port of purchase products – paper, original serigraphy, glass and ceramic products and functional printing to name a few.
The Awards Programme received numerous outstanding entries and were judged by industry experts. These experts have contributed towards significant advances in the techniques and technology across the industry. These experts included Jacek Stencel, Tarun Chopra and Suresh Babu.
Jacek Stencel has over 35 years in the printing industry and is the owner and founder of PASJA based in Poland, a screen and digital printing and print finishing company. Jacek is also the President of FESPA Polish Association, PSSiDC (Polish Screen and Digital Printing Association). Tarun Chopra has over 30 years of experience in the industry and has extensive knowledge of prepress, printing and colour management. He was instrumental in setting up India’s first PSO-compliant print facility in Baddi. Suresh Babu is started modernising screen making in Tirupur in 2000. Suresh himself won a FESPA Gold Award at FESPA in Munich in 2010.
Attendees of the SPAI FESPA Awards enjoyed wonderful food, networking with members of the community and celebrated the art of print.

The FESPA Awards will return in 2025 and will take place alongside the FESPA Gobal Print Expo in Germany in May 2025. The awards will be open for entries from March 2023 at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024. The FESPA Awards celebrate the achievements of printers and sign-makers from across the globe.
