Soyang Europe expands textiles portfolio

Soyang Europe has responded to what it has described as “unprecedented interest” in textile print at FESPA 2017 by launching a collection of new display, black-back and backlit fabrics.
The company said the products offer “substantial benefits” over alternatives and has already been able to report “significant” take-up by print service providers that run grand-format dye sublimation and UV hardware.
Tim Egerton, sales manager at Soyang Europe, gives an insight into the enhanced portfolio, explaining that the firm was able to utilise its new 66,000sqm factory and the various kit in place at the facility to develop the solutions. Soyang Europe has the ability to offer its customers materials measuring up to 3.2m wide.
“The specialist team at Soyang Europe has a wealth of technical knowledge to match the correct product to customers’ applications and with new fabrics being constantly developed, there are three notable additions to the line-up,” Egerton said.
“A new display polyester has been added to the range along with a new black-back fabric and, with the ever-increasing popularity of large lightboxes for retail, we’ve introduced a new backlit textile as well.
“By consistently adding new technology, we're assured of remaining at the forefront of the textile industry.”
Soyang Europe said its new display polyester is “ideal” for retail and exhibition graphics and is also printable with both dye sub and UV cure inks. The company also said that a dense and compact structure enables users to achieve “strikingly vibrant colours” with dye sub or UV cure ink technology,
Meanwhile, the new black-back fabric is more suited to applications that require total blockout. The range features for different finishes and offers solutions that can be used in lightweight woven or knitted structures up to 3.2m wide.
In addition, Soyang Europe said that the new SoTex backlit has been launched in response to a spike in demand for oversized lightboxes in retail stores, public spaces and exhibition halls. The company added that the range of grand-format backlit materials latest coating technologies and state-of-the-art yarns to help deliver a “premium finish”.
Egerton added: “All Soyang products are available for fast shipping from our UK distribution centre throughout Europe and we stock options for UV, latex and dye sublimation ink technologies.”
Soyang Europe is one of many leading names to have picked up on high levels of interest in textile print at FESPA 2017 earlier this year, as this sector of the wider market continues to expand.
