Matthews the Printers becomes first UK printer to purchase a KODAK NEXFINITY Digital Press

The addition of the new press is part of Matthews' plan to extend their range of digital services with a high-speed, high quality digital press and capture a larger share of work from designers and creators that are increasingly exploring the use of print for their campaigns.

"Our goal with every customer relationship is to be the most reliable, flexible and trusted partner that delivers exceptional print quality at a cost-effective price and within their deadline," said Christopher Riddell, Managing Director of Matthews the Printers. "The NEXFINITY Press is an incredibly versatile machine that delivers a powerful combination of image quality, consistency, and low running costs. As a complement to our existing litho and digital capability, the NEXFINITY Press also gives us the flexibility and confidence to move shorter run jobs to digital without sacrificing quality seamlessly. We're also looking forward to running new applications through the digital press with the NEXFINITY Press capable of handling thicker substrates and with the ability to add on options like special effects."

The KODAK NEXFINITY Digital Press, with a high-resolution multi-bit, LED writing system can run a  comprehensive range of applications including transactional, direct mail, packaging, commercial print, and photobooks. The NEXFINITY Press also delivers speed and flexibility, with an increased range of 83 to 152 ppm expanded sheet lengths up to 1 metre and capable of handling stocks up to 530 gsm or 610 microns. For Matthews, the NEXFINITY Front End, which is equipped with an automated workflow, provides another benefit. It integrates with the company's existing KODAK PRINERGY Workflow solutions and online project management tools, Mediabridge, that Matthews offers to its clients to provide an outstanding customer experience goes uninterrupted.
