Hexis launches Bodyfence vehicle paint protection film at FESPA

At FESPA Digital 2016, Hexis presented Bodyfence, a new 155 micron self-adhesive polyurethane film designed for the protection of vehicle bodies.

The film is said to be durable for up to eight years under normal road-use conditions. It is available in 20m rolls and can be purchased in a variety of widths up to 1520mm.

At FESPA Digital, from 8-11 March in Amsterdam, the French sign vinyl manufacturer also exhibited HFlex 100P, a new solvent-free film for hot transfer applications.

The 90µ premium opaque solvent-free cast polyurethane film is suitable for application onto pre-washed cotton, polyester and Lycra and is ideal for the printing of designs onto sportswear, T-shirts, hats and much more. It is also OEKO-TEX-approved for children’s wear and babies’ clothes.

Backed with a 100µ matt clear PET self-adhesive liner to enhance the ease of positioning, the premium water-based polyurethane film is both solvent and odour-free (no VOCs).

This innovative, thin, flexible and stretchable face film offers excellent cutting and weeding characteristics, even on lettering as small as 3mm or the most complex of designs, and will not tear during weeding or application.

Hexis UK Ltd.’s Managing Director Scott Wilkins comments: “HFlex 100P is a great addition to our range of products for textile decoration. This high quality film is available in a wide gamut of colours – with more being added on an ongoing basis – and has a true anti-reflection matt finish, similar to that achieved by traditional screen printing.”

He continues: “Application is simple: you simply cut a mirror image of your design and weed after cutting. Then, position your design and use a heat press to transfer the design onto the garment of your choice. It really is that straightforward.”

HFlex 100P does not wrinkle on garments and ensures constant quality and colour stability. The finished printed and pressed products can be washed at up to 60°C and ironed at temperatures of up to 160°C.

Wilkins concludes: “HFlex 100P really does have to be tried to be believed: the high performance of the product is so much better compared to other products currently available in the market.”

Pricing and availability

HFlex100P is available with immediate effect and can be purchased online in full or part rolls with next working day delivery.  Pricing starts from £5.36 per linear metre at 500mm wide and reduces depending on quantity purchased.

Hexis' Patrice Salvan talked to FESPA TV on the Hexis booth at FESPA Digital 2016 about new vinyls, their wrap competition, their relationship with FESPA and their views on this year's digital show.
