Antalis extends range of Coala WallDesign substrates

Antalis has added seven new finishes to its popular Coala WallDesign non-woven (NW) range.

The move brings the range of 350g NW wallcoverings to a total of 10 - Smooth Matt, Sand, Fine Sand, Fibre, Canvas, Fine Canvas, Stucco, Leather, Brush and Plaster. They are compatible with most large format inkjet printers

Coala WallDesign NW’s non-woven, reinforced backing means users can hang the wallcovering by pasting the wall and applying it dry. The company said it can also be removed in one piece, making it easy to refresh graphics on a regular basis. The Coala WallDesign range also incorporates Coala WallDesign P Pre-pasted wallpaper, available in a semi-matt finish, and conventional Coala WallDesign P paper-backed wallpapers, available in 300g.

Coala WallDesign NW is an innovative range of wallcoverings offering easy, fuss-free installation. The clever, non-woven, reinforced backing means users can hang the wallcovering by simply pasting the wall and applying it dry.

As well as avoiding unnecessary mess and shrinkage, it is 40% faster to apply than normal paper backed wallpaper. Coala WallDesign NW can also be simply removed in one piece, making it easy to refresh graphics on a regular basis. It is compatible with most large format inkjet printers

The Coala WallDesign range also incorporates Coala WallDesign P Pre-pasted wallpaper.  Available in a semi-matt finish, this non-PVC paper is designed to be recyclable and easy to apply. Also designed for ease of install, users simply need to immerse the paper in a water-bath to activate a pre-pasted backing before applying to a smooth, prepared wall; again alleviating any mess and being 40 per cent quicker to install than conventional papers.

In addition, the range boasts conventional Coala WallDesign P paper-backed wallpapers, available in heavyweight 300g, allowing easy handling and maximum dimensional stability at a cost effective price.

Chris Green, head of visual communications at Antalis comments: “Coala WallDesign has really taken off at an unprecedented rate; being favoured with customers seeking to achieve a high quality finish quickly and easily, which can easily be refreshed again and again."

"As such, it was the obvious next step to extend the range with even more options to enable customers greater design freedom – from leather for a more premium look through to sand for a more tactile appeal, and everything in between. This, coupled with our other easy apply media for wall graphics, really does consolidate our position as the destination of choice when it comes to wallcoverings.”

Compatible with most large format Solvent/Latex and UV inkjet printers, Coala WallDesign is ideal for achieving a high degree of authenticity in the reproduction of paintings, photographs and graphics.  It meets the highest requirements for fire resistance, light fastness and wash-ability and is also available with an anti-bacterial coating for more sensitive environments such as hospitals.

Perfect for customising and personalising any interior environment in the commercial (contract) and residential markets.
