Setting your sights on screen ink at FESPA 2017

As is the case when selecting inks for other methods of print, picking out the best ink for screen printing is no easy task.

While many industry members will opt for OEM inks, others will go in search of other options from third-party providers. However, the danger of opting for the latter puts you at risk of purchasing below-par inks, and it is important for you to establish the quality companies in this market.

FESPA 2017 will play host to many of the leading third-party ink suppliers in the global market and visitors will have the opportunity to speak to these companies to find out how their products can offer an effective solution.

One company that looks set to be a must-see at FESPA 2017 for visitors seeking new screen inks is Marabu. Based on Stand C60 in the sold-out Hall B7, Marabu will present it latest range of screen inks, alongside products designed for use in digital and pad printing.

Attendees with a focus on screen print can view the brand-new Ultra Pack UVFP system, a UV-curable, low-migration system for food packaging. Speaking in a statement ahead of FESPA 2017, Marabu said the event is the “perfect platform” to harness interest in new and existing products.

“FESPA 2017 provides a perfect platform for print professionals to exchange information and insights,” the company said. “Marabu will be amongst the exhibitors to present its new product portfolio and to get in touch with prospective clients.

“The popular trade show is going to be a perfect place to get into deeper discussions with the experts, so no one should miss it.”

Another of the many suppliers that will attend FESPA 2017 as an exhibitor this year is Grafco. The chemical company specialises in the production of various inks, with a key focus on screen printing technology, and will use its presence on Stand D46 in Hall A4 to showcase some of its latest offerings to the market.

Visitors to the show will be able to speak with Grafco about Aquatran, its new portfolio of water-based screen inks for transfer production, to use with the new production process digital and screen. Grafco will also display its range of screen printable inkjet receptive primers and a screen printable varnish named Duran, which it said is well suited to long-term outdoor applications.

In addition to the many exhibitors at FESPA 2017, visitors will have access to an immersive conference programme, featuring specialist speakers from across the industry.

One such session that may be of interest to those in the screen printing sector takes place on May 9. Here, John Lynch from Lynka will focus on what it takes to be a top promotional products company and world class, award-winning screen printer.
