How to lead the way with innovation in print
‘Innovation’ has been a key buzzword in the industry for some time, as print companies find new ways of standing out from the competition.
Differentiating your business from other companies in the market is critical, as competition for work becomes increasingly fierce. Whether it is offering new services, adding new staff or expanding your workspace, ensuring that your work stands out to customers and potential clients in a must in the modern day market.
FESPA 2017 will serve as an innovation hub, allowing visitors to explore the various ways that they can improve their business.
FESPA 2017 will have its own banner of ‘Dare to print different’ and, as many in the industry will know, innovation plays a key role in differentiating yourself from others in the market.
While the many exhibitors in attendance will be able to offer new technical solutions, a seminar programme that will run alongside the event will feature sessions designed to help visitors develop new ideas for their company.
For example, Dorin Pitigoi, colour and standardisation expert at Fogra, will head up a session entitled ‘Colour challenges in signage printing on non-paper like substrates - measuring, profiling and viewing to correlate colour perception with colour measurements’.
Here, visitors will learn how they can improve the quality of output on some of the more challenging substrates; this will not only help make work look better, but also allow attendees to consider moving into markets away from traditional paper products. The session will take place at 12pm on May 9 and May 12.
Meanwhile, for visitors on the lookout for new ideas in key growth markets, the co-located Printeriors would be a recommended stop during their time at the exhibition.
Operating under the banner ‘Printed interior décor – the future of design’, Printeriors will allow attendees to explore the many types of work on offer in this sector, as well as how innovation is leading the way in new ideas for printed work in the market.
The event itself has been designed to depict different areas of a hotel, with each section featuring different types of printed work. Visitors that drop in on Printeriors will have access to a number of free-to-attend sessions led by a plethora of expert speakers, as well as the opportunity to view examples of how innovation has helped to develop new printed interior design products.
To find out more about the co-located Printeriors and register, you can visit the event’s official website: www.printeriors.net. and type in special promotional code ‘PRNH710’.
In addition, for those keen to find out how others are leading the way in terms of innovation, then the final of this year’s FESPA World Wrap Masters contest is a must-visit.
Visitors to FESPA 2017will see some of the world’s best wrappers in action and be able to see how they have used innovation in their work to propel themselves onto a global stage.
On Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 May, the competition will see 36 wrappers battle it out to be crowned European Wrap Master 2017. The winner and runner-up will then go on to participate in the final, taking place on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 May, where they will be joined by regional and national winners from past Wrap Masters events.
During the Wrap Masters final, the wrappers will wrap a speedboat, with the final design being created by the winner of FESPA’s Wrap Design Competition, which is running ahead of the exhibition.
Vehicle wrappers still have the opportunity to enter the Wrap Masters Europe competition at FESPA 2017, where they will have the chance to showcase their wrap skills and compete against the world’s best installers.
