Delta Group lands important extension with Mars

Visual communications specialist Delta Group has seen off competition to secure an extended deal with confectionary giant Mars, in an agreement chief executive Jason Hammond said serves as a “positive statement” for the company’s services.

Delta had been working with Mars for more than three years and was given the opportunity to enter a competitive tender process to win an expanded contract.

Confirmation that Delta has secured the new contract will mean that the firm will continue to produce a wide range of point-of-sale materials and promotional displays for Mars, Wrigley and Petcare.

In addition, the expanded agreement will now allow Delta to take on more work for Mars, including delivering point-of-sale materials for leading Mars brands in its confectionary range, including the likes of M&M’s, Galaxy and Maltesers.

Speaking to FESPA.com about the contract renewal and subsequent expansion of the deal, Hammond said it was very rewarding for Delta Group to secure the work, adding that the win serves as testament as to the work it produces for its customers.

“Any contract win is important but an award by a client you are already working with is so meaningful as a positive statement and gauge to the service and innovation you provide,” Hammond told FESPA.com.

“It is massively rewarding to be working with sector leading brands, everyone wants to be involved from creatives through to delivery drivers, it makes our jobs exciting and rewarding dealing with household brand names.”

Nicola Blackmore-Squires, display development head at Mars, also praised the deal, saying in a statement: “Delta have delivered a consistently good service for Wrigley and Pet displays over the last three years, and we are pleased to award additional chocolate POS print to them.

“The team show a fantastic effort and proved how a good partnership can deliver real benefits to Mars.”

Not one to rest on his laurels, Hammond said that the Delta Group will now seek to build on this client win and add more leading brands to its growing customer base.

“Brand contracts have always been a major client base for the Delta Group, but with our class leading technology, coupled with our financial strength and manufacturing scale, brands are able to choose the financial advantages of a direct to manufacturer model, but with all the innovation and client service they could need,” Hammond said.

“2020 is developing into a very exciting year of growth and expansion of services within the Delta Group.”
