Compass seeks new opportunities with FESPA UK

Rob Fletcher speaks to Compass Business Finance who have signed up as a member of the FESPA UK Association, with the aim of working with the regional FESPA branch to access new opportunities across the market.
Compass met with the FESPA UK team at this month’s 2019 FESPA Global Print Expo in Munich, Germany, and talked over plans to build stronger relationships with the wide-format print, packaging and converting markets in the UK.
Although Compass already has a presence across all of these markets, it has said that by working with FESPA UK, it will now be able to provide both its services and benefits to more FESPA UK members.
Such benefits include access to the British Business Bank’s Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme (EFG), which Compass became an accredited lender for in 2018.
Speaking to FESPA.com about its membership, Danny Simpson, sales manager for Compass, said the company will be working closely with FESPA UK to better understand the needs of its members and support them.
“Compass is already working with a number of FESPA UK members and we believe that by joining FESPA UK we’ll be able to provide similar benefits to even more of their members, helping them to gain access to funding to grow their businesses,” Simpson told FESPA.com.
“As an EFG accredited lender we will also be able to offer finance to companies who may not have previously had adequate security to access to the funding they need. We have already started some exciting conversations with FESPA UK and look forward to sharing more a little later this year.”
Compass is solely focused on companies in the UK and Simpson said that its new membership of the regional FESPA arm will enable it to access key areas across the UK market.
“Working with FESPA UK will strengthen our relationships in their market and expand on the benefits we currently offer them,” he said.
“Joining FESPA UK opens up new opportunities for businesses, they’re always looking to increase the benefits they offer to their membership and we believe we have a role in helping them to do that with both our services and expertise.
“FESPA UK is a well-respected organisation, and having already worked with a number of their members, I believe there is more we can do to help them.”
Carol Swift, director of FESPA UK Association, added in a statement: “We’ve had some great conversations with Compass and are excited about the benefits they will be able to offer our member base.”
