Wouter van As

Treasurer

After completing a degree in business administration at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Wouter joined his family’s printing company in 2005, which at the time focused mainly on commercial print and calendars. In 2008, after becoming a co-owner, he shifted the company’s strategy due to the decline in commercial print, aiming to differentiate through quality, service, and unique product offerings. This led to a focus on Point of Sale materials for retailers and brand owners, prompting investment in UV-offset presses and the acquisition of a large format printing company—his first introduction to the world of FESPA. Today, the company employs 50 staff across two locations in Amsterdam and near Rotterdam, with large format printing forming a key part of its future. Wouter has served as President of the FESPA Dutch Association for nearly five years, during which time the association has grown its membership, become profitable, and continued to support its members. He is married to Karin, and together they have three daughters.
