While neatly wrapped gifts under the tree are the main attraction at Christmas, the festive period also brings with plenty of treats for those in print. Here, Rob Fletcher celebrates some of the best printed applications from Christmas 2025.
Christmas is a hugely important time of the year for brands and marketers as they seek to draw the attention of and connect with consumers in regions around the world. As those in the industry will know, one of the most effective ways of doing so is through the power of print.
Whether it is a playful design on a product’s packaging or a large-scale display at the centre of a shopping mall, there are plenty of examples of creative and innovative printed work at this time of year.
We take a look at some of the applications that caught our eye over the past few weeks…

Company: Starbucks
Description: A must-have at Christmas is a cup of hot chocolate to keep you warm in the cold weather. Starbucks continued its tradition of rebranding its takeaway cups for the festive season, with this year’s design again incorporating the iconic red colour that the global coffee shop chain has become famous for around the world.

Company: Mars
Description: In an unusual crossover, Mars linked two holidays together this year to roll out a new product in the US, complete with unusual packaging. ‘Hallowmas’ brings together Halloween and Christmas in a new, limited edition chocolate snack, with the printed packaging displaying both spooky and festive colours.

Company: McDonald’s UK
Description: A regular with Christmas campaigns, McDonald’s opted for a cheeky design on its Happy Meals in the UK this year. The iconic boxes featured a pop-out ‘Elf on the Shelf’, a mischievous character that causes mayhem in homes during the lead-up to Christmas.

Company: Krispy Kreme
Description: World-famous donut brand Krispy Kreme linked up with iconic cartoon Peanuts on a festive collaboration. Donuts themed on Peanuts characters were sold in printed packs, which also carried images of the famous faces from the cartoon, including Snoopy and Charlie Brown.

Company: TWAS
Description: California-based studio TWAS released ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, an incredible, limited-edition book that featured 18K gold-gilded edges. The Gallery Edition First Print is limited to just 200 copies worldwide, with each signed and numbered by the artist,

Company: Bierra Moretti/Heineken UK
Description: While several beer brand rolled out Christmas packaging this year, this one from Bierra Moretti caught our eye. The cardboard pack, which housed 12 bottles of the beer, was redesigned with snowflake and holly print, complete with a red ribbon to mimic a wrapped gift. Alos featured on the printed ribbon were the word ‘Buon Natale’, paying homage to the beer’s homeland of Italy and its traditional Christmas greeting.

Company: Momcozy / BIG HUGS
Description: Global femtech and maternal-care brand Momcozy partnered with BIG HUGS to launch a 14-day Christmas advent calendar bath bomb gift set, designed to bring comfort and connection to families during the festive season. BIG HUGS is an art IP by illustrator Christopher David Ryan, with his famous designed featured on the printed calendar.

Company: Beetles Gel Polish
Description: Keeping with the theme of advent calendars, US-based Beetles Gel Polish came up with this stunning release for Christmas 2025. Featuring a printed, festive design, the calendar had 24 doors and sections to open during the countdown to the big day on 25 December.

Company: Tilray Brands
Description: Global good company Tilray Brands published the ‘Ultimate 2025 Holiday Drink Gift Guide’, collection of the season’s most giftable beverages from across its portfolio. Some of the drinks in the range were printed with a festive design, including several options of ‘Christmas Ale’.

Company: New Taipei City Government
Description: We round off our top 10 in Taiwan, where the Tourism and Travel Department of the New Taipei City Government commissioned a festive, printed backdrop for a kick-off press conference for the 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City. Christmasland featured a series of Christmas-themed activities including a dazzling light show and circus extravaganza.
