This time at FESPA visitors to stand E32 will be spoilt for choice where new equipment is concerned. Those looking to enter the digital label market will be particularly excited at the range of digital equipment on display.

Digital printing and finishing machines give users that flexibility of being able to handle small or bulk orders with equal ease and with the same level of overhead.

Machines from Eclipse and Compress will demonstrate just how far this technology has come in the past few years with printers and finishers to suit most businesses. Printers from Compress will include the LP4 which is a digital LED dry toner printer offering exceptional quality and value for money.

This printer offers market leading durability, conforming to BS5609 standard as well as having very high resistance to UV light. For finishing your labels the Eclipse LF3 and LF350 represent the best available. The LF3 is the smaller of the two and has an impressive list of specifications.

The larger model, the LF350, is a floor standing bulk production machine that has the added advantages of handling larger media stock, optional twin cutting heads and 5 slitting blades. This increases the output to levels that defy its competitive capital cost.

Look out for a new Eclipse model, the LF4, designed to work with the Compress LP4. Because of the latter’s durable print quality the new LF4 does not need lamination and thus keeps the price at an even more competitive level.

These world leading machines have redefined this technology by introducing innovative developments such as iQ Interweave which allows users to print at low resolution without the problem of banding.

Because less ink is being laid down not only is the individual print cost lower but the productivity can double - definitely a win, win situation.

The latest M Series machines also offer a larger print area capable of taking up to 6 t-shirts at the same time. When the optional roller feed system is added the production figures impress even more.
