Trains, plans, automobiles, and so much more. Print and sign companies around the world are continuing to push the boundaries as to what is possible when it comes to decorating vehicles.

From the more standard jobs that may involve wrapping a small fleet of company vans with a logo and contact details, to pieces that really get heads turning such as airplane livery and even speedboat graphics, the world is very much your oyster if you are working in vehicle graphics.

Wonder-wrap

Company: Transport for Greater Manchester

Description: The return of Oasis was music to the ears of many fans of the Manchester band. Ahead of playing several concerts in the city, Transport for Greater Manchester added large graphics of Liam Gallgher, one half of the famous Oasis brothers, to one of its Metrolink trams. Liam’s voice was also used to announce the stop for the location of the gigs, Heaton Park.

Welcome to Miami

Company: HP / Scuderia Ferrari

Description: HP partnered with the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team to produce a special, co-designed livery for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix. HP, an official sponsor of the F1 team, used its HP Latex print technology to print the design onto film before applying it to the cars of Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.

Company: Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Description: Amtrak Pacific Surfliner partnered with Disney to celebrate 40 years of the Disneyland Resort in California this summer. The custom-designed exterior artwork will feature on trains that connect major Southern California destinations to the resort.

Innovation with invisibility

Company: Bentley / Bang Bang

Description: Bentley collaborated with world-renowned tattooist and artist Bang Bang on an innovative project that saw a unique designed applied to a Bentley Bentayga EWB. The car was decorated with a specialist UV wrap, which, when exposed to UV lighting, revealed an incredible design.

Going for Gold with FESPA

Company: The Look Company

Description: Qatar-based The Look Company won Gold in the wrapping category at the 2025 FESPA Awards for its work on vehicle branding in the lead up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This involved more than 150 buses and vehicle, while graphics for the winner’s bus were applied within 30 minutes of the final whistle.

Pride in the armed forces

Company: Mission Motorsport

Description: The Mission Motorsport partially wrapped a Royal Navy landing craft to mark 25 years since a ban on gay people serving in the UK armed forces ended. Based at Portsmouth Historic Quarter, Landing Craft Foxtrot 8 (F8) was used in the Falklands War.

Description: UK-based Aura Brand Solutions created a special set of train graphics to mark a railway-themed milestone. The graphics celebrated the 200th anniversary of the modern railway. Opened in 1825, the Stockton and Darlington Railway was the first to use trains to transport passengers.

Three is a magic number

Company: CVi Group

Description: CVi Group in the UK used Avery Supreme Flip to wrap a three-wheel trike for a gentleman who recently lost his wife. In her memory, he wanted to wrap the trike in her favourite colours but could not decide between blue and purple. CVi Group was able to combine the two colours for a unique design.

Company: Avanti West Coast / Baraka Carberry

Description: Avanti West Coast in the UK decorated one of its trains with bespoke artwork designed to celebrate the ethnicity of employees and communities across its network. Created by digital artist Baraka Carberry, the ‘Together We Roll’ wrap spanned all seven carriages of one of the new Evero trains.

Description: Of course, work in this market may even progress beyond standard vehicles and to other forms of transport. This horsebox is a fantastic example, with The Vinyl Guys using a Roland DG printer and Drytac Polar Premium Air to transform the look of the vehicle.

Description: Following on with another unusual mode of transport, Brazil’s Corimpress used Drytac Polar Premium Air and Interlam Pro Emerytex to produce colourful graphics for use on a gigantic grain loader. The design took inspiration from the Formula 1 car of the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber Audi model 2026, which this year includes Brazilian Gabriel Bortolet.

Mission Christmas

Description: The UK’s Aura Brand Solutions features again here for another train wrap, this time raising awareness of a charity campaign. The company created a festive-themed wrap for a TransPennine Express train, supporting the ‘Cash for Kids Mission Christmas’ appeal.

Brilliant bronze

Company: Alta Rotulacion

Description: Spain’s Alta Rotulacion took bronze in the wrapping category at the FESPA Awards 2025 for this immersive project. The piece involved a full installation of printed graphics for a pit bay garage and Porsche. Matte laminated cast vinyl was used for the vehicle element of the job.

Description: Belgian-based wrapping company Grafical used its Roland DG TrueVIS AP-640 to produce this striking set of classic graphics for a Ducati motorcycle. The design also cleverly incorporates the name of certain other featured brands.

Lest we forget

Description: CVi Group, headed by FESPA World Wrap Masters 2025 judge Chris Edwards, features again for this motorcycle wrap. Wrapped in Arlon SLX with a satin laminate, the bike was wrapped for an ex-serviceman and is now used for veteran shows to raise awareness for a local veteran’s charity.

Goodyear for wrapping

In celebration of the Goodyear Blimp’s 100th anniversary this year, Wingfoot One will fly with an entirely new look inspired by Goodyear’s very first branded blimp Pilgrim. Image courtesy of Goodyear

Description: Another example of non-traditional work, but a nod to the past. Earlier this year, Goodyear rewrapped its iconic airship with a fresh set of graphics, ready for it to be flown above more than 100 cities. The ‘Goodyear Blimp’ has an incredibly rich history that stretches back over 100 years.

Description: UK bus operator First Bus created a striking pink wrap to help celebrate the 850-year anniversary of the Scottish city of Glasgow. First Bus also gave over 7,500 free bus journeys to and from a three-day music festival along the River Clyde.

On the bus with Brazil

Description: Grayers Graphics in the UK produced this colourful wrap for a bus that was used to carry the Brazilian men’s national football team to and from a game in England. Grayers used Arlon printed material and single-colour wrap film, inspired by Brazil’s iconic yellow shirts.

Deliver with Pride

Description: A third inclusion for Aura Brand Solutions! This time, the company worked with furniture supplier DFS Group to decorate two of its vans for the annual Pride month. The design incorporate the iconic Pride flag, with DFS pledging to also ‘Deliver with Pride’.

Description: Rounding off our top 20 on the high seas, Nettl Signs used an HP Latex 800W and Drytac media to create a wrap for a rowing boat in preparation for its six-week trip across the Atlantic Ocean. The boat took part in the World’s Toughest Row, an annual event that challenges competitors to row more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from the Canary Islands to Antigua & Barbuda in the Caribbean.
