PLASTGrommet launches new banner finishing system "All In One"

Australian trade only printer, Mediapoint purchases PLASTGrommet banner finishing system, "All In One" which has helped the business's workflow.

PLASTGrommet has manufactured a banner finishing system, “All In One”. This in-line system integrates in a single process hem welding, eyeleting and banner slitting.  This solution is targeted to companies that print massive volumes of banners (PVC, mesh or PE). The system helps improve business workflow and ensures tight deadlines are met.

Australian trade only printer, Mediapoint purchased their unit following the acquisition of a Durst 512R LED with the multi-roll option that was expected to provide five times more capacity than it had before. The next step was adding a banner finishing system.

Commissioning and training were a challenge due to the pandemic as PLASTGrommet technicians were not able to travel to Melbourne and the customer was in a hurry to get the machine up and running.

Eurotech, based in Perth has been a PLASTGrommet Australian distributor for the last five years. The company is well known for its excellent customer service.  Both Eurotech and PLASTGrommet had to create a smart strategy to ensure the install happened.  James Smith decided to travel coast to coast by car to assist with the arrangements.  Australia is such a vast country that James travelled approximately 3.400 Km which is the distance between Barcelona (Spain) and Tallin (Estonia).

With the help of a local technician and PLASTGrommet engineers working during the night to match Melbourne hours via Zoom, they managed to install the machine, which was up and running within a normal timeframe, which is within a week.

According to Jamie and Jason Xuereb, the ‘All In One’ “is a great machine. I personally flew out to PLASTGrommet in Spain in 2019 and was really impressed by the build quality and engineering in the machine. The ‘All In One’ has really helped our flow for finishing to keep up with our print capacity.”

PLASTGrommet’s All In One will be displayed at the Global Print Expo 2021, Europe's leading exhibition for screen and digital wide format print, textile printing and signage. The Global Print Expo 2021 will take place from 12-15th October 2021 at the Rai Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam.
