Winner of World Wrap Masters Asia 2018 announced in Bangkok

Yury Tebuec takes home the trophy at this year’s World Wrap Masters Asia in Bangkok, Thailand. Yury talks to FESPA and discusses his victory and his hopes for the World Wrap Masters Series Final in Berlin.
This year’s FESPA Asia 2018 took place in Bangkok, Thailand, on 22-24 February. The World Wrap Masters Asia’s exciting feature showcased the skill and creativity of vehicle wrappers. The event saw competitors attend from all over the world and the top 4 competitors hailed from Japan and Russia. In 4th place was Tadashi Kariya from Japan, 3rd place Kishi Sahiro from Japan, 2nd place Roman Russu from Russian and the coveted 1st place and winner went to Yury Tebuev from Russia.

Yury has been working in vehicle wrapping since 2009 and originally started his career in Moscow, working with various companies across different industries. In 2012 he worked for “Re-Styling” where he was known as the “1st Level Master” and was responsible for training staff and opening new branches in Russia. In 2014 Yury moved to Krasnodar city and opened his own wrapping studio, Vinyl-Jam. Currently his company includes 6 staff and specialises in using various types of materials that are used for cars, bikes and helicopters.
As the winner of this year’s World Wrap Masters Asia, Yury describes that “my main aim for this trip was to win as it is a prestigious competition. I did my very best to convince the judges that I am the best and it seemed to pay-off!”
The World Wrap Masters was created to not only showcase the skill of vehicle wrappers but to also recognise and promote the global vehicle wrapping community at their best. Yury says “as professionals working in the vehicle wrapping industry, the World Wrap Masters Series is a very important event because we get an opportunity to share our experience and skills with others. It means a lot to communicate and interact with like-minded individuals from all over the world.”

The World Wrap Masters final will be occurring at FESPA 2018 in Berlin, Germany where regional and national winners will all be competing for the overall champion title. As a finalist Yury says “I am very excited about my trip to the World Wrap Masters Series Final, in my opinion competitors from Europe are professional and experienced with vinyl wrapping as I know it is very popular there. I hope that the ‘Russian Machine’ will perform well in Germany!”
