New World Wrap Master judge aims to boost knowledge

"I want this business to be widely known in the country and provide the correct understanding and skills to people doing this type of business"

Vichai Nuchpoom has been appointed as the latest FESPA World Wrap Masters judge and immediately set a goal of using the global competition to help boost the knowledge of wrapping in his native Thailand.

Nuchpoom is an expert in the field, with his company, Dang Sticker, regarded as one of the top wrapping businesses in Thailand, having been providing services for more than 40 years.

Although his main role as a judge will be to select the best entries in the Asian round of the World Wrap Masters, Nuchpoom has also set himself a personal goal of using the contest to increase the level of skill within Thailand’s wrapping market.

FESPA Asia will this year take place in the Thai capital of Bangkok, where those in attendance will be able to see some of the region’s top wrappers in action at the Asian round of the FESPA World Wrap Masters. The winning entrant from the contest will proceed to the final at the main FESPA global print expo in Berlin, Germany, from 15-18 May.

“I want this business to be widely known in the country and provide the correct understanding and skills to people doing this type of business,” Nuchpoom told FESPA. “I am hoping to see lots of good wrappers at the FESPA World Wrap Masters.”

FESPA Asia will run from February 22-24 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), where visitors can speak with some of the top names from across the global print and communication markets.

The Asian round of FESPA’s World Wrap Masters will be one the main highlights at the event, and the contest is still open for entries. To find out more about the competition and how to get involved, click here.

Nuchpoom is certainly well placed to judge entries this year, boasting an in-depth knowledge of the wrapping industry. Such has been the success of Dang Sticker that the company not only provides its services to the Thai market, but also to customers overseas.

“Our work is not just a wrap, but we focus on the unique design of each vehicle,” Nuchpoom said. “We were one of the very first to invent this specific technique in Thailand. Our work is not just about wrapping, but also focus on the unique design of each car as well.

“Our portfolio includes both domestic and international racing vehicles, car show builds, as well as wrapping jet skis and motorcycles for global competitions.”

Another high profile project that stands out for Nuchpoom and Dang Sticker is the wrapping of helicopter that was used for a Hollywood film. To view a video of the transformation, click here.
