FESPA Brasil 2024 breaks records and establishes its position in Brasil

FESPA Brasil Digital Printing 2024 established its position as the main digital printing trade show in Brasil and Latin America. The exhibition took place from 11th – 14th March 2024 at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, Brasil. The exhibiton was organised by both APS Eventos and FESPA.

Before the opening of the exhibition, many new exhibitors booked their stands and there was an increase of over 20% in the size of the stand area in comparison with last year’s exhibition. FESPA Brasil 2024 received  24,080 unique visitors, exhibitors estimated that the exhibition generated new business in the range of R$ 185 million.

Alexandre Keese, Commercial Director of APS Eventos Corporativos stated: "FESPA Digital Printing 2024 was historic! We broke all records in comparison to the previous 11 years of the exhibition. We would like to thank everyone who was part of this spectacular exhibition. We were extremely happy with the success of the exhibition. We are already looking ahead to 2025 and how we can showcase the latest innovations and offerings.”

Keese also emphasized the positioning of the FESPA Brasil in relation to other international FESPA events: " For many years FESPA Brasil has had the largest audience per square meter amongst all FESPA’s events. For 2 consecutive years, we have received the highest number of visitors across all of FESPA’s events. This shows how Brasilian businesses are always looking to improve and evolve”.

Neil Felton, CEO of FESPA, was in Brasil and commented: "The trade show was incredible, it was sizeable and full of professionals conducting business everywhere. This is the result of the tireless work done by the APS and FESPA teams. It is a positive moment in the industry! It is very encouraging to see professionals seek new knowledge and exploring new opportunities. It was truly a fantastic event!”

Knowledge and Responsibility

Since its first edition, APS Eventos and FESPA have been focused on offering relevant knowledge and information that provides the best tools for the printing community to make the right decisions in challenging scenarios.

Ilha da Sublimação organised a seminar that was well attended and focused on the recent techniques for producing personalised products and new concepts for managing a winning business, such as smart commercial thinking and social networking. The session was organsied by the director of Print Center, Felipe Soares. Ilha da Sublimação was sponsored by both Adespan and BC Sublimação.

The FAB LAB 3D Arena discussed the latest innovations and topics in 3D printing and how it relates to the world of digital printing and visual communications. Rodrigo Dinardi shared various projects by the Universe of Creativity team. These sessions discussed the latest materials and also featured a practical areas that was created by the VP Máquinas team and its partners: Art Clean Neon, Cristal & Cores, MMS Plásticos, PH Printers and Sinteglas.

A combination of emotion, competition and adrenaline set the tone in the second edition of CAMBEA SuperFast. The car wrapping competition was organised by Marcelo Souss and the entire Alltak team at FESPA Digital Printing 2024. The competition featured professional car wrappers across 4 days where competitors were tasked with wrapping cars including the doors and the windows.

Debuting at FESPA Digital Printing 2024, the T-Shirt Factory attracted visitors who were interested in understanding how digital textile printing has evolved in recent years. The factory showcased the creation of a t-shirt in just a few minutes, including other processes such as printing, curing, folding and packaging. Henri Kanj from Têxtil talked through the full process with visitors. The factory also had support from Brother, Dekken, Mecolour, Camiseta Feita de Pet and Camisetas Rápido.

FESPA Digital Printing 2024 also brought together its entire team of FESPA Experts who provided guidance directly to visitors. Another highlight from the exhibition included Print Live, an exclusive space that was used by industry leaders for broadcasts and recordings.

Social and Environmental Thinking

APS Eventos and FESPA are invested in sustainability and how organising and running an exhibition can have an effect on the ESG concepts (acronym in English that stands for Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, and which defines a set of good practices for public and private institutions) and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Before the trade show, materials were released to educate the sector and raise awareness about different methods and processes. During the event, FESPA Digital Printing received the valuable support of members of the AME Project (Very Special Attendants), who assisted in areas such as reception and exhibitor service.

Abigraf and Ibá supported the Circule um Livro Project. At the entrance to the show, visitors donated books to the initiative that is present throughout Brazil with the aim of encouraging reading. It is also important to highlight that all materials used during FESPA Digital Printing was sent to a recycling cooperative. By doing this, the exhibition successfully aligned with the ESG thinking and has successfuly achieved over half of the UN SDGs.

Inspiration that Generates Business

If in 2024 the theme for the exhibition was "Energy that generates inspiration", in 2025 the theme will be "Inspiration that generates business". FESPA Digital Printing will return from 17 – 20 May 2025 at the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo once again.

Many international exhibitors have already renewed (some during the event at their booths) for FESPA Digital Printing 2025. Following a fundamental commitment made with the market, the APS Eventos and FESPA teams will continue to work towards the return of the show in 2025 where the latest innovations, current and future trends will be shared for the benefit of the printing community.
