Personalisation and automation as a booster for your business

Folker Stachetzki, Head of Marketing at Brother At Your Side discusses how customization and personalisation have become increasingly important to individuals and businesses alike.

In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving world, customization and personalisation have become increasingly important to individuals and businesses alike. People want products that reflect their unique identities, and businesses strive to provide tailored solutions that resonate with their customers.

By now, standard printed textiles can be ordered in almost any type of retail shop or online shop. This is still an easy way to make money without much extra effort.

Personalised, individualised textiles, however, promise a much higher margin and make you stand out from the crowd of other suppliers.

But is this worth the extra workload? After all, someone has to personalise the designs and the internal workflow also has to be adapted to the individual prints.

The answer is as simple as the solution - YES!

With new state-of-the-art technology, you can now transform ordinary garments into extraordinary pieces that speak directly to your customers' preferences, tastes, and individuality.

Many well-known manufacturers now offer those solutions that overcome the two negative aspects mentioned above.

Software that can be integrated into the online shop, simplifies personalisation for the customer and allows the customer's print data to flow into the internal workflow in exactly the same way as non-personalised designs.

This solves in an automated and effortlessly way the problem that many producers and online shop owners are facing of how to get the personalised designs that the customer ordered into the production and especially to the printer.

Solutions of this kind for online shops are one thing, but what about the retail business? A customer comes in, orders his or her individual personalised shirt and, depending on the type of shop, can take it home in a few minutes or it can be conveniently sent to his or her home the same day.

This, combined with possibilities like easy-to-use tablets at key points of sale, can make ordering a shirt in a shop a unique sales experience for the customer - setting you apart from the competition.

With these new innovative solutions, it is now irrelevant whether the shop owner has his own production facility, where it is located or whether he passes on the orders to fulfilment centres, as the orders are automatically transferred to the workflow of the chosen production facility.

As soon as the order is in the production, it can, for example, be precisely identified via QR or barcode and thus all relevant order parameters can be automatically retrieved at the individual production stations. This allows the order to go through the entire work steps in an automated and error-free way and can be also monitored by the production staff during this entire process.

At the end of the process, of course, is packaging and shipping. If the client wishes, individual packaging or shipping information can even be stored there using the QR-code and can be retrieve automatically to pre-configured rules.

In this way, the customer receives a package branded with the references to the shop where he originally ordered his garment without any reference.

In conclusion, personalisation and production automation software for direct-to-garment printing opens up a world of possibilities for both individuals and businesses. Whether you're looking to start a new business or enhance an existing one, the new innovative software solutions provides the tools and capabilities to meet the demands of the personalised product market.
