Three champions, three journeys, and a shared passion for taking vehicle wrapping to the highest level.

The Competition World Wrap Masters Mexico has established itself as the most important gathering for the country’s top installers—a venue where speed, technique, and creativity are put to the test in the art of vehicle wrapping. Year after year, the championship not only rewards the most precise installers but also opens the door to the world stage.

During the event, attendees can also enjoy live demonstrations of a wide range of materials and solutions for the industry, from vinyls in a variety of colors and textures to specialized applications. With this event, FESPA reaffirms its position as the leading and preferred trade show among signage experts in Mexico, driving the industry’s growth and professionalization.

In this special edition of PRINTspiration Stories, we bring together the stories of the last three World Wrap Masters Mexico champions: Carlos Ramírez (2023), Antonio Ramírez Ávila ( 2024), and Damián Cordero (2025). Three distinct career paths, the same competitive spirit, and a shared passion for vehicle wrapping.

Compete to better yourself and dream big

For Damián Cordero, winning the 2025 World Wrap Masters Mexico was the culmination of a goal he had been pursuing for years. “I’d been really eager to compete for a long time,” he recalls. The result wasn’t just first place, but also qualification for the World Wrap Masters in Barcelona—a dream he’d come close to achieving in previous editions. “My goal was to finish first to qualify for the World Wrap Masters in Barcelona. Last year I tried to do it in Spain and finished second—I couldn’t qualify. So I’m really happy.”

With more than 24 years of experience in the industry, Damián views competition as a tool for constant growth. He has participated in more than 15 international tournaments in the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Spain. “Everything is a learning experience. In competitions, you gain new knowledge and stay up to date with all the new materials that come out,” he explains, also highlighting the human value of these experiences: “I started mingling with people who do the same thing I do, and today I have friends in a lot of countries.”

In addition to running his business in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Damián is a certified trainer and collaborates with leading brands in the industry. His philosophy is clear, and he sums it up bluntly: “I never settle for what I have; I always try to keep learning.” That’s why his advice to the younger generation is straightforward: “They should dare to compete, keep learning, and set goals for themselves. For me, that was key to my growth.”

Perseverance, Passion, and Growth

For Antonio Ramírez Ávila, participating in World Wrap Master Mexico was much more than just a competition: it was a platform to showcase the level of Mexican talent in the graphic arts. “Participating was an opportunity to demonstrate the skills we have as the best graphic arts applicators,” he says. Winning the title in 2024 was a personal validation after years of hard work: “Winning the competition was both a source of motivation and a recognition of the great talent within the graphic arts.”

With 19 years of experience in the industry, Antonio began his career in the world of print graphics for major advertising agencies, eventually moving into automotive customization and, more recently, marine vessel wrapping projects. That journey has been marked by one constant principle: learning by doing. “The key to honing my skills has been perseverance and consistency—making mistakes and learning from them what we need to improve.”

For those who want to get started in the world of vehicle wrapping, his message is clear and honest: “You have to be consistent and truly passionate about the work we do, always striving to do our best in whatever we set out to do.”

An Inherited Dream Come True

The Story of Carlos Ramírez has a strong emotional component. Winning the 2023 World Wrap Masters Mexico meant fulfilling a childhood dream deeply tied to his family history. “For me, it meant something special—it was a dream. My father was a champion when I was little, and it was always a dream of mine to be like him,” he shares.

With nine years devoted entirely to car wrapping, Carlos highlights the vital role his family plays as a source of support and motivation. “The key to becoming better is the support and motivation I get from my family. I’ve made mistakes, but thanks to them, I’m learning more and more,” he says, also emphasizing the value of measuring himself against the best: “Being able to compete with the world’s best helps you grow.”

His advice for those just starting out in this industry captures the spirit of vehicle wrapping as both a craft and an art: “It’s a truly beautiful art. You learn something new every day. You’ll make mistakes—that’s normal; we’re only human. The important thing is to learn from each one and perfect every detail.”

A championship that fosters talent and community

The stories of Damián, Antonio, and Carlos reflect the true spirit of World Wrap Masters Mexico: a competition that not only rewards technical skill but also advances careers, connects talent, and strengthens the car wrapping community in the country and the region.

With each edition, FESPA Mexico continues to create a space where innovation, training, and a passion for signage come together, inspiring the next generation of installers to take their craft to the next level.
