Domino eyes corrugated growth with trio of appointments

Domino Digital Printing Solutions has moved to enhance its presence within the corrugated market by announcing a trio of senior appointments.

Ben Ginesi will join Domino as the European sales manager for digital corrugated packaging, while Lloyd Kent has been named as the new senior sales manager for corrugated in the digital printing North America division, and Dale Rawhoof as technical product manager for the corrugated segment.

Ginesi will take on his new role after spending 18 years at HSG, where he held a number of senior positions and boasts significant production knowledge in digital corrugated inkjet.

Kent has spent more than two decades working in the corrugated sector, having served in a number of senior sales positions at the likes of EFI, HP and Bobst, where he was responsible for sales of digital and traditional corrugated printing equipment.

Rawhoof has more than 31 years’ of combined experience with applications, project and product management in Domino’s digital printing North America division.

Speaking to FESPA.com about the double appointment, business development manager Matt Condon, who leads the Domino corrugated team, said the trio of appointments demonstrate how Domino is seriously investing in the corrugated market.

“Domino has taken significant care in choosing these appointments for future commercial and technical success,” Condon said. “Domino is very excited about bringing this leadership team together and it puts us in great stead heading into the corrugated sector.”

Domino only entered the digital corrugated market in June of this year by launching its new X630i digital inkjet corrugated press and AQ95 aqueous ink set, but Condon said the business has already attracted significant interest in its solutions.

“The X630i is a new and impressive machine, and the technology incorporated within it is already proven in the digital label printing sector, where Domino has a substantial presence,” he said.

Condon himself has 10 years’ digital printing experience performing product management and original equipment manufacturer manager roles during his career, and said he is focused on driving corrugated growth for Domino.

“The goal is to become the leader in digital corrugated printing, following a similar model that has helped Domino to achieve this in the label printing market.

“We will create growth through best in class products to market, while also supporting our customers from a highly experienced and regarded inkjet technology based global support team.

“This team’s experience will pave the foundation to support growth for Domino in this new market segment. We have a very focused approach and do not spread our resource too thinly.”
