Uncovering the opportunities in direct Mail on the FESPA Wrap Rally 2
Our first stop (post-wrap) on the much-anticipated FESPA Wrap Rally II will see Rob, Rich and Chris cruise into the town of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, nestled to the south-west of Brussels. Here the team will be visiting the company 'Symeta' to find out about their activities in printing for direct mail, and what benefits this market has to offer.The term "direct mail" is used to refer to communications sent to potential customers via the postal service and other delivery services. Direct mail can include advertising circulars, catalogues, and other merchandising invitations delivered by mail to homes and businesses.
Often direct mail is used on a lithographic printer due to the number of exact copies of the same material. However, the advancement in marketing and in the variable data printing market has led to many direct mail jobs being produced on a digital printer to allow the marketer to tailor it's message to each consumer.
But it's not just VDP that can persuade the digital printer to offer direct mail as a service. The advancement of special effect digital printing can also give the direct mail customer that extra kick in meeting the goals of campaign and makes these often unsolicited items more enticing to its reader.
With camera in tow, we hope to showcase this opportunity in the glorious surroundings of the Belgian countryside.
