Typically it is expressed as being "Health, wealth and happiness." This statement may be attributed to James Allen the British philosophical writer from the quotation; "A man is not rightly conditioned until he is a happy, healthy, and prosperous being; and happiness, health, and prosperity are the result of a harmonious adjustment of the inner with the outer of the man with his surroundings." But what does this mean to the everyday person and particularly the printer?

Social media channels are great for tracking down former school mates that you've lost touch with and they're great at helping you to keep up-to-date with what your friends have been up to but what about as a marketing tool for a business?

Is it really worth the time and effort involved in setting up – and then updating on a regular basis – a dedicated presence on sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn?

screenprinting-thefutureAn exciting and informative three day event, showcasing the latest developments in the world of screenprinting by two of the biggest names in the sector and supported by many other major suppliers of ancillary equipment and consumables.

Taking place from 4th - 6th October, presentations and demonstrations will illustrate technological advances in all areas of the screenprinting process, including halftoning technology, computer to screen systems, precision and high speed cylinder printing, efficient and economical drying systems, special effect inks, stencil advances, new substrates and screen mesh developments.
The advertising and wide format print industries have been collaborating for years to try and make greener billboards, but no one has been able to master the trick – until now. With the unveiling of Europe's first 'eco-board' at a site next to the M4 motorway in London in late June, Ricoh has set the digital signage bar high for others to follow.

Your Invitation

Prism are the UK trade association and member of FESPA, the highly successful global events and exhibition organisation, together representing the wide format print sector encompassing in-store POS, outdoor graphics, signage, textile and industrial printing.

In today’s challenging economy we recognise the importance of promoting efficient working practices throughout the supply chain incorporating material suppliers, print service providers, print management companies and their respective customers. Ultimately we wish to aid in the development of a profitable and sustainable industry to benefit all key stakeholders. To this end we extend a warm invitation to join us at one of our regular Think Tank industry events, the aim of which is to develop a definitive “code of best practice” by recommending how all parties should work together. In advance of the meeting we will send through a suggested draft “code of best practice” to all attendees to aid in the debate.

This prestigious event will take place in the sumptuous surroundings of The Ritz Hotel in Piccadilly commencing at 2.00  pm on Tuesday 6th September. After the conclusion of the afternoon session there will be a champagne reception, followed by a private dinner giving all delegates the chance to network with their industry peers.

We hope you are able to join us for what should be a thought provoking and industry defining event.

All discussions will be under Chatham House rules i.e. nothing is attributable.

At the last meeting new and profitable alliances were forged. All those who attended said they would definitely attend again.  Don't miss this opportunity.

The countdown has begun. It’s less than a year until the 2012 Olympic Games in London gets underway and over the course of the next few months a raft of printed paraphernalia will be produced for games organisers and official sponsors alike, providing a welcome shot in the arm for the UK printing industry. The intensity of activity will continue to build as the Games approaches with the weeks leading up to the event itself set to see the nation’s printers involved in a whirlwind of activity.

Below is an example of the co-operation between Slovak and French Associations in Paris last year. Following the success of this meeting, a reciprocal visit was made by French representatives to Slovakia. Now, because of the success of this relationship, a further meeting will be taking place in Marseille in October (21st to 23rd) where both Associations will meet, discuss ways in which they can develop their working relationships,  make some factory visits, network  and relax with a little sightseeing and a couple of meals.
