    A seminar for increasing profitability of printing processes, knowledge and skills in color management in digital printing workflow and screen printing.

    The Goals:

    Was to organize a seminar for increasing profitability of printing processes, knowledge and skills in color management in digital printing workflow and screen printing. Achieving and support the exact and repeatable color in printing production is important factor for establishing the cost effective workflow.

    Speaker 1 - Stoyo Pashov, Creative Center

    The target audience was a variation of production managers, specialists in design, prepress, press and printer operators. The expected number of visitors was to be 50 visitors including 20 BACGP members.

    The results:

    A successful result of 70 people had participated in the seminar, although we had expected 30-50 attendees, including our members. During the campaign for registration we were nice surprised to register more non members for the seminar. 35 attendees were non members that were printers, advertising specialists and special guests. 20 of the participants were members. There were 15 students and lecturers, who were also in attendance.

    Purpose of the seminar was realized to help the participants in increasing the profitability of printing process, improving management of colors and control of processes in order to achieve exact, repeatable colors and printed quality. 

    Speakers in attendance

    The first Speaker was Stoyo Pashov, speaking on behalf of Creative Center. The second speaker, who was PhD Maxim Siniak, had join in attendance on behalf of Xrite. The third speaker, Аttila Boncza, had also spoken on behalf of Xrite. The final and special guest speaker was FESPA's own Chris Smith.

    The feedback from the participants was very positive. They gave very high praise to the оrganisation of the seminar, the speakers and the educational value of each of the lectures.

    Special Guest – Chris Smith, FESPA

    Impact on FESPA image

    As BACGP first event, we had the opportunity to present FESPA to printers and advertising speciaists. The audience was fascinated by the Chris Smith's presentation focused on inovations. Chris promoted FESPA 2013 and explained the theme and all the features of the shom in London next year.

    New members:

    We have 3 application forms from new members. They will be approved on next Board meeting in 18 of January 2013.
