Health and Safety Alert - Hand-fed Platen (Die Cutting) Machines

In the past few months, there have been two deaths involving workers being crushed in platen machines in the UK. This is tragic and more so because it seems that these deaths could have been avoided if Health and Safety rules had been followed strictly.

Mimaki USA introduces innovative Solid Printer SP303 Print E-mail
Mimaki Engineering Co Ltd, Japan has introduced the new & innovative 3D UV curable inkjet printer. Mimaki Solid Printer SP-303The SP-303 printer has the following attributes:

- Printable shapes: Ball (Sphere), Helmet (Hemi-sphere), Flying disc etc.

- Basic shapes such as pillar shape, cone and their complex shapes are also possible.

- The printable area is either for a flat or convex surface. (The side of the print object which is connected to the printer arm is not printable.)

- Printable area: Min. 75mm in radius hemi-sphere or 75mm in radius cylinder; Max. 380mm in diameter 300mm in height cannon shape

- Print speed: Approximately 16 minutes (300mm in diameter hemi-sphere,600dpi, 4 pass, (reference value)

- Number of colors: Max. 6 (CMYK + White + Clear)

- Ink type: Flexible UV ink

- V lamp: UV LED lamp
