Kurt Sperisen

International Relations Ambassador

Kurt Sperisen (DOB: 1937) has acted as a counsellor to FESPA since 2000, and performs an additional role as the organisation’s International Relations Ambassador.

Kurt was a co-founder of ESMA, the European Screen Manufacturers Association, and has served on the board, and as president, of that organisation.

Kurt’s career in the screenprinting sector began in 1958 with the Swiss Silk Bolting Cloth Manufacturing Company Ltd (SSZ). Having first occupied positions in administration, sales and marketing, he became a director of the company in 1973 and was promoted to managing director in 1977, a role which he fulfilled until 1995.

In that year, the merger of SSZ, SST and ZBF to SEFAR Ltd. was effected and he continued as a member of the group management team until his retirement at the end of 1999. During that time, he had additional divisional management responsibility for screenprinting fabrics.

Kurt is married and lives in his native Switzerland.
