Caroline Sonneville is in charge of the development of the international business for technical textiles at Fedustria, the Belgian Federation of the textile, wood and furniture industries. She has a masters degree in Public Relations and has been working for the federation for twelve years : the first three years as Press & Communication Manager, the last nine years as Export Promotor Technical Textiles.

He owned an automated screen-printing company in Brooklyn, NY and a screen-printing supply house in Denver, Colorado. He has consulted with small and large start-up companies as well as existing companies worldwide and is recognized as an expert in the field. Taublieb has been conducting workshops and seminars for over 25 years including ones for the Imprinted Sportswear Shows, FESPA, SGIA Shows, DAX Shows and others in the US and abroad. Later he moved to TIS Technical Coated Fabrics Belgium where he held the position of Export Manager for Northern & Eastern Europe. He then held various Managerial roles at SIOEN for their North America / Asia / Eastern Europe/ Northern Africa regions. Dirk has been with CONCORDIA TEXTILES Belgium since 2008. John is an independent digital textile printing consultant and technical editor of Digital Textile magazine. He was 2009’s joint winner of the Henry E. Millson Award for Invention, for the development of the first commercially available inkjet printer for textile fabrics, in the late 1980s and early ‘90s. The award is presented annually by the American Association of Textile Chemists & Colorists (AATCC).
John directed the team at ICI that developed the reactive-dye colorant formulations and textile pretreatments for the first commercially available textile-inkjet system. During the 1990s, he also was active in a number of European-funded research projects (EU Brite Projects) with Stork BV and other European partners, which further developed the technology.
Later, he was involved in the development and co-ordination of inkjet-ink and media solutions with the major print-head manufacturers, system integrators and machinery manufacturers, developing industrial digital-printing solutions and, in particular, textile-inkjet print systems. He also worked on digital textile inks at BASF.
John has written more than 70 papers on colour physics, coloration, and both conventional and digital textile printing, and holds six patents in inkjet printing. He is a Fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists (FSDC) and was awarded its silver medal for developments in the textile-printing industry, in 1996. |
John Scrimshaw is an editor at World Textile Information Network (www.wtin.com), formerly World Textile Publications Ltd – the world’s biggest textile publisher. Initially handling magazines in the apparel and fashion-technology sectors, he assumed the editorship of the long-established International Dyer magazine in 2001 and was responsible for piloting the spin-off Digital Textile magazine at ITMA 2003. Mr. Josep Domingot is the Vice President of Business Development at AnaJet, responsible for all worldwide international business, private brand, national accounts and strategic business alliances. He has extensive experience as a Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for the European markets with Panasonic for many years, and member of the European International Association from Japan under Matsushita Electric Corporation. In recent years, he successfully built the US business for a major Spanish manufacturer, Porcelanosa, as the General Manager of its US operations. Mr. Domingot earned his BA degree from the University of Barcelona and an MBA from the University of the Americas. He is a multicultural manager, speaking several languages. Mark Gervais is Director of Screen Print for Ningbo Shenzhou Knitting Co Ltd, China. Mark has worked passionately for 34+ years in the Screen Printing Industry. His Screen Printing career began printing PCB’s (printed circuit boards) for Apple Computer in 1977 and continued for over 10 years. In 1987, he had made the move into Textile Screen Printing which is where he still is today. In those 24 years, Mark worked for 17 years with various large scale printing operations on the West Coast and also 3 of the major Plastisol Ink manufactures, with 4 of those years as an Asian Regional Sales Manager. Mark has been working and living in China for the past 7 years with almost 3 of those years at Ningbo Shenzhou Knitting Co, Ltd.
His passions lie in working with Graphic Print Development and determining how designs are separated, engineered and printed and also a Designer of Printing Operations with facility lay-out to establish process controls and procedures and efficient automatic machine operations and quality. |
Dr Martial Blanc has a PhD in Surface Physics. With a strong scientific background and a deep interest to follow technical projects from their conception in the laboratory all their way down to their commercialization, his professional carreer has grown from an application engineer role, until becoming the Sales & Marketing Director at Sensient - Specialty Inks business unit.
Immediately after having completed his PhD at the EPF Lausanne in the field of surface physics in 1998, Martial has been literally consumed by the digital sublimation printing industry when he joined the chemical company ECS SA as an Application Engineer with the assignment to teach and promote the use of digital sublimation inks, recently developed by the ECS' R&D laboratory for the industrial sublimation printing market.
Since then he has progressively taken increased responsibilities in the same company which is now part of the Sensient Technologies Corporation based in Milwaukee, USA. After completing his MBA at the Business School Lausanne in 2007, he is today Technical and Business Development Director, and has lead the company to become one of the leading and most innovative manufacturers of digital textile inks in the world.
As a privileged observer of the textile printing industry, Martial has witnessed the evolution and growing importance of digital technologies, and has participated actively, via the development of innovative inks such as the ElvaJet SE 100, to the growth in sublimation printing from a minor printing technique in the conventional textile printing to the largest segment of digital textile printing.

With thirty-four years of experience in apparel manufacturing, research and development, operations and corporate management, he leads the company’s initiatives to develop next-generation supply chain technologies, and work with companies to implement currently available technologies and business processes. Horsten was founder of one of the first Green Textile printing companies in the Netherlands. Mike was also one of the co-founders of the ColorGATE Rip software company in 1998. With a vision on how to make user friendly applications for the graphic industry he made a name for himself. As one of the first to sell HP Plotters and laminators back in 1994, Mike explored this new generation of HP products to change them into large format printing solutions, photo enlargers and to use these new machines as Pre-Press Proofers. Scott Fresener has been in the industry since 1970 and is the co-author of How To Print T-shirts For Fun And Profit and The Encyclopedia of Garment Printing. He has also produced dozens of video and DVD training programs, created automated separation programs called T-Seps and FastFilms, and is considered a pioneer in the direct-to-garment printing segment. Scott is the former CEO of U.S. Screen Print & Inkjet Technology, and currently Director of T-Biz Network International, LLC. Scott is a popular speaker at trade shows around the world, has contributed hundreds of articles to leading trade magazines, and has served as a consultant to small and large shops worldwide. In 1979 he and his wife Pat founded The U.S. Screen Printing Institute. In 1996 he received the industry's highest honor, the SGIA’s Parmele Award, which recognizes lifetime contribution to the industry. Dr Simon Daplyn Joined Xennia in 2008 and is the Ink Products Specialist, responsible for product management, customer implementation and commercialization of the inks portfolio offered by Xennia from a commercial standpoint. As part of the textiles group Simon has a particular focus on textile solutions for decoration and functional finishing. Previously Simon was involved in the R&D group overseeing developments of a number of industrial inkjet solutions.
Before joining Xennia Simon graduated with an MSc in Colour and Polymer Chemistry from the University of Leeds before gaining a PhD for work on Inkjet Printing onto Textiles from the same university. Simon then went on to work for Nanojet Ink based in Newcastle upon Tyne where he was Technical Manager of textile ink developments. |
Suyin Aerts is a Belgian woman of 37 with a Chinese first name who is very passionate about communication in all it's ways.
After a successful career as an international ballet dancer and an actress for national Belgian television, she made a huge career switch by working for ten years in the fashion industry. In the function of National Sales Manager she managed the showroom in Belux for Marithé + François Girbaud which is a very creative, innovative, high end, French fashion label.
After finishing a Masters in Industrial Business Policy degree in 2006 magna cum laude (Business administration and Project Management) she joined about four years ago the X-Treme team initially as CFO. She combines this financial function since 2009 with sales and marketing.

Thomas Poetz is the founder and Chairman of 3P InkJet Textiles AG - today 3P InkJet Textiles AG belongs to the Verseidag Indutex Groupe witch is part of the Jagenberg Holding.
3P showed the first prepared fabrics for inkjet printing during the CeBit show 1997 in coop with HP on the HP 2500. Since than 3P has developed for the different inks.several fabrics with the right properties for a lot of different applications. 3P received quite a few awards for there product quality during the last years. NASA decided to use the 3P fabric in there space shuttle mission. 3P partnered with Universities and Textile Institutes on a few R&D projects supported by the German Government.
