Article Manufacturer Print E-mail

An article manufacturer means any natural or legal person who makes or assembles an article.
An article is an object which during production is given a special shape, surface or design which determines its function to a greater degree than does its chemical composition.

Typically article manufacturers are printers and industries that use printing to decorate or code an article.  They are not required to register unless there is a release of a substance during the life cycle of the article or the article contains greater than 0.1% of a chemical that is carcinogenic, mutagenic, repro-toxic or bio-accumulating.

Examples where registration is likely are digital ink cartridges, machinery containing lubricating oils, lead based and some UV curing inks.
