CPS, the leading supplier of safer chemicals for the printing industry, and part of the MacDermid group, has launched an innovative screen wash system that allows screen wash solvents to be recirculated and filtered, minimising both the costs and environmental impact of screen printing applications.
The 2-in-1 functionality of the Green Screen Combeasy SW System enables screens to be cleaned with either water or solvents in the same compact unit, eliminating the need for two stand alone screen wash booths.
The Green Screen Wash Combeasy SW System consists of a 2-in-1 wash booth and a recirculation/filtration tank connected by an air driven three-way valve. This allows operators to select whether to use the system for processing and cleaning screens with water or removing ink with screen wash solvents. When cleaning with solvents, the unique and patented CPS 2 stage system of cartridge filtration, followed by gravity ink solids separation, significantly prolongs the working life of the screen wash solvents.
The ability to reuse cleaning materials reduces waste and therefore operating costs considerably, and makes it cost effective to use higher quality solvents for more consistent results.
In addition to keeping costs down by minimising the quantity of solvent wasted, the Green Screen Wash System is an environmentally friendly option. Furthermore, the system helps maintain a safe and clean working environment for operators as low evaporation screen wash solvents are retained within the wash unit and recirculation tank, eliminating the need for handling harmful liquids or heavy containers.
The Green Screen Wash System is simple to install, operate and maintain, optimising productivity and eliminating the need for post print screen cleaning using rags or tissue. The compact 2-in-1 nature of the system allows the space needed for cleaning to be minimised and simplifies operation still further. The system is compatible with a wide range of other CPS systems for fast and cost effective upgrades.
The Green Screen Wash System features a stainless steel base and high impact polypropylene sides, providing a robust yet cost effective solution. The system is based on a Scandinavian flat pack design for convenient shipping and easy installation, especially in difficult to access areas.
