EFI Fiery Central is a modular PDF-based production workflow solution with sophisticated make-ready, load balancing and automated prepress workflow capabilities allowing print operations to process more jobs in less time with less waste.
EFI Fiery Central enables print service providers in medium to high-volume print on demand environments, such as corporate reprographic departments (CRD), print for pay, and commercial printers, to increase operator efficiency, reduce waste, and decrease turn-around times. The ability to produce more jobs with fewer mistakes by automating common tasks maximizes Océ customers' printer investments. To address specific needs, and expand as workflow requirements change, EFI Fiery Central is offered in a modular structure including a centralized make ready station, load balancing and engine optimization, and workflow automation modules.
The Océ CS Tandem platform unites multiple Océ CS665pro print engines with a centralized EFI Fiery Central server, sophisticated color management software, and validated color consistency to deliver a new level of color performance in one integrated system. Users can manage the group of Tandem printers from a single workstation, intelligently balancing workloads across engines-without sacrificing output quality. As a result, print providers looking to enter the production color market have a real alternative to offset presses and expensive, lower-quality color digital printers. The Océ CS family represents the first production color platform to be designated a FograCert Validation Printing System based on ISO 12647 part 7, a third-party validation that documents predictable, consistent and measurable quality.
In addition to the load balancing and process automation tools offered with EFI Fiery Central, Variable Data Print (VDP) is another key advantage of the solution. Coupled with the industry-leading Fiery color digital print server, EFI Fiery Central is an open, flexible and scalable VDP solution which enables customers to easily develop customized marketing campaigns, regardless of their complexity. It supports multiple VDP formats, including the industry standard personalized print markup language (PPML) and other legacy proprietary languages. EFI Fiery Central readily integrates into existing workflows and provides centralized VDP job management to execute compelling personalized marketing programs.
